Can I join Stroller Strides if I am pregnant?

YES! We encourage expectant moms to continue to exercise throughout their pregnancy as long as the activity has been approved by their physician. Instructors are trained in both pre- and post-natal fitness and follow the ACOG guidelines. We can modify any exercise that poses an issue as you progress through your pregnancy. Stroller Strides does require a doctor's approval prior to beginning class if pregnant and that form can be emailed to you, so you are ready to go on your first day! Exercise during pregnancy helps improve or increase:

  • Cardiovascular fitness
  • Muscular strength/endurance
  • Energy levels
  • Higher fatigue threshold
  • Posture and biomechanics
  • Circulation
  • Self-esteem, sense of well-being
  • Recovery time
